PRODUCT STORY
Silk Road Sandalwood
Sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli, and orange build a warm, woody soap inspired by the ancient movement of aromatics across long-distance trade routes.

THE STORY
A scent built around goods worth carrying across continents
Sandalwood has been valued as an aromatic wood for centuries and appears in records of long-distance trade, including UNESCO's Silk Roads material on sandalwood and other traded goods. More history-led ingredient stories are gathered in Behind the Botanicals.
That history inspired a bar centered on sandalwood, then layered with patchouli for earthiness, orange for brightness, and vanilla for a softer finish.
Rich, woody, earthy, and worth the detour.

THE FORMULA
How the fragrance is layered
Sandalwood gives the bar its warm center. Patchouli deepens the base, vanilla smooths the edges, and orange provides the lift that keeps the blend from becoming too heavy. Another ancient-world formula appears in the frankincense and Dead Sea mud story behind Biblical Borith.
The result is a slow, rounded scent rather than a sharp one, with the wood and earth notes staying present from start to finish.
