PRODUCT STORY
Celtic Grove
Cedar, cypress, juniper, pine, peppermint, and black pepper give this hot-process bar the feel of a wet evergreen forest after rain.

THE STORY
A modern tribute to the forests of Gaul
Celtic Grove was inspired by the ancient woodlands associated with Celtic Europe. Roman writers, including Pliny the Elder's account of Gallic soapmaking, described soap made from fat and tree ash. More old-world and botanical product histories are collected in Behind the Botanicals.
This is not a reconstruction of an ancient formula. It is a modern forest-driven interpretation, with cedar, pine, juniper, and cypress forming the center of the scent.
Wet earth, crushed evergreen, cool air, and a warm crack of black pepper.

THE FORMULA
How the forest profile is built
Cedar, pine, juniper, and cypress create the evergreen base. Peppermint adds a cold edge, while black pepper keeps the finish warm and slightly spicy. For a darker wood-heavy direction, see how Norwegian pine tar defines an entire bar.
The combination is intentionally rugged and green, with enough contrast to keep the bar from becoming a flat pine scent.
