Winter Woods

$8.95

This is my new personal favorite.  Living out here in Redlands, in the California desert, we have some pretty hot days.  One afternoon I was tired, dirty, hot, and miserable.  I had spent the whole day working outside in the blistering and dusty heat.  The temperature was 102 that day! I needed to take a nice cool shower, but I wanted to really turn it up a notch.  I wanted to be totally refreshed, clean feeling, and smell amazing.  I came up with this new bar, Winter Woods.  I call it that because when I got in the shower that afternoon, I stepped out of the hot and dry desert and stepped into a cool and refreshing forest.

For starters, this bar has black pepper in it. Black pepper has  antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.  It’s great against acne.  It exfoliates dead skin and stimulates blood circulation causing more oxygen to flow to your face. This results in a healthy and glowing complexion!  I like it because it gets your skin ready for the next ingredient… refreshing peppermint!

You know how when you eat a peppermint and your mouth gets cool?  This is going to happen to you!  With your freshly exfoliated skin, the peppermint feels even cooler.  It is really exhilarating.  Peppermint is great for mild muscle aches, joint pain, and itching.  The scent is also known to aid with headaches!

Finally I add, cypress, pine and patchouli.  This earthy and woody blend really mixes beautifully with the black pepper and peppermint and makes this a sharp, yet grounded bar of soap.  It instantly reminded me of being in a forest in the winter time.  These woody scents also have some great health benefits!  Cypress is also great for acne!  It is anti-bacterial but is also a natural astringent and can help reduce the appearance of oil on the skin, without drying it out.  Pine, besides smelling fantastic, soothes skin conditions characterized by itchiness, inflammation, and dryness, such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.  (I told you this was an awesome blend!) And finally, patchouli.  I don’t use a lot, just enough to get that earthy tone.  I find the scent of patchouli a stress reliever and the perfect way to round out this refreshing blend.

With the great scent, benefits, and refreshing feel of this bar, Winter Woods is easily my new favorite!
