White Desert Sage - Ts'ah

This is an amazing soap. It is a best seller and everyone who smells it usually falls in love with it. It is hand made bar of soap made from White Desert Sage. This is the same Sage used by native Americans in their smudge sticks! This plant has been used for thousands of years as a spice and in many purification rites. The Mojave and Cahuilla Indians who lived in my area called the herb Ts’ah and used it for many things including medicinal and edible purposes. Sage is an herb with several promising health benefits. It's high in antioxidants and help support oral health, aid brain function and lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels. This green spice has a pungent herbal smell associated with purity and positive feelings.
I add bentonite clay to the mix to give it a soothing lather as well as some bergamot and ginger to round out the scent. Ginger is a great addition to the scent of this soap. Ginger also helps relieve nausea, aid with loss of appetite, and help with motion sickness and pain.
Bergamot is a fantastic herb. It’s one of my favorite scents. The flavonoids present in bergamot oil are very good relaxants as well. They soothe the nerves and reduce nervous tension, anxiety, and stress, all of which can help cure ailments associated with stress such as high blood pressure, insomnia, and depression.
