This is a fragrant and woody blend of Cedar and English Rose. It is a beautiful and elegant smelling soap. It is no wonder that the recipe was once reserved for Roman Royalty. This is one of my oldest soap recipes and is from my historic collection. Rose is soothing to the skin and to the senses and has a wonderful calming effect as well as helping keep skin soft and subtle. Cedar is great for your hair and skin and is mildly antiseptic making this a great all around blend. I also add bentonite clay to make it even better for your skin.
